Manages area of responsibility with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest quality of care possible. Contacts physicians as necessary and ensures physicians interventions are timely and appropriate. Monitors the clinical operations of the unit and resident’s conditions and ensures that appropriate and quality care is administered. Assists in the orientation of new personnel, monitors their skills, and guides and observes staff that may need assistance with procedures. Participates in facility QAPI program. Performs other tasks as assigned. Acts as liaison between nursing unit, admissions, and the DON. Monitor weekly and monthly weights. Monitors noise level and satisfaction of residents with care/or dissatisfaction. Monitor and audit charts weekly for: episodic; Medicare documentation; all assessments; nursing summaries, MAR’s; TAR’s; C.N.A’s POC documentation. Rounds on unit daily. Proactively addresses survey and/or standards of care issues. Follow up on residents/family/employee/concerns in a timely manner. Participates in nurse on call rotation. Works with the staffing coordinator to ensure that shifts have adequate nursing staff to meet facility/census requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin RN license and current CPR certification.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing .
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
