Accountant

Nexio is looking for an Accountant to join our team! The ideal candidate is someone who has a good attitude, is proactive, is well organized, and feels comfortable with excel. This candidate will be responsible for reconciling bank accounts, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, long-term debt, revenue, and expense accounts

Responsibilities

· Complete company month-end procedures

· Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supplementary reports

· Reconcile bank statements

· Reconcile general ledger accounts as part of month-end close

· Prepare journal entries

· Import journal entries, invoice data, and bank transactions into the accounting system

· Maintain capitalized software, prepaid, fixed asset, etc. amortization and depreciation schedules

· A/R responsibilities, including creating customer invoices and statements

· A/P responsibilities, including entering vendor invoices into the system and maintaining documents and vendor files

· Process payroll, as needed

· Gather data for annual financial audits

· Other financial analysis and reporting, as needed

Qualifications

· BS in Accounting or a related field

· 0-4 years of accounting experience

· Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP

· Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables

· Prior experience with NetSuite and Airbase (preferred)

· Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

· Deadline driven
