Certified Nurse Midwife ($75k - $100k)

Position: Certified Nurse Midwife

*Direct hire

Salary: $75k starting salary - will take new grads!

• $80k annually after 6 months
• $85,000 per year after one year of employment
• $90,000 per year commencing after two years
• $100,000 per year commencing after three years

Location: Oswego, NY

Schedule: 4-day work week if not on weekend call

• One 24-hour call, one 48-hour weekend call per month
• 24-hour shared coverage with two OB/GYNs and two Certified Nurse Midwifes

Candidate Parameters:

• Board Certified Nurse Midwife
• Willing to be part of a community and live in a mid-sized community
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate and empathic nature
• Desire to work on a diverse team
• New graduates are welcome!

Requirements and Skills:

• Master's of Science in Nursing
• National certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board
• Strong working knowledge of reproductive issues and all stages of conceiving, pregnancy, and birth

Job Description:

• Works with Gynecologists and Obstetricians to diagnose and treat reproductive health issues
• Performing routine screenings for patients
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing treatments
• Assisting mothers and families through attempts to conceive, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy care
• Preparing women for labor and delivery and assisting with the birthing process
• Monitoring the health of expectant mothers and their infants
• Counseling and educating male and female patients on contraceptives, reproductive health, and family planning
• Performing administrative duties such as: taking patient histories, handling appointments, and processing payments

About the Practice:

• Private Practice that includes two Physicians, two Certified Nurse Midwifes, and a Physician Assistant
• 500 deliveries annually
• In office GE 4D Ultrasound with full time Sonographer, Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, LEEP, and Cryosurgery
• Three locations
• EMR: Greenway Medical Technologies
• The only OB Group in the county
• 164 bed, full service community hospital
