SUMMARYInspects completed parts for compliance by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.Inspect product for compliance to customer and / or Meriden Manufacturing requirements.Ability to use micrometers, vernier calipers, height gage, comparator, and other measuring equipment, to verify conformity to blueprints / drawings, specifications, etc.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Perform data entry to record findings on inspection layout form.Prepare customer documentation as required.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.No non-essential duties and responsibilities have been assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and / or fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with and understand mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, to applicable situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to identify problems, understand basic manufacturing methods and measuring techniques, and implement lessons learned in a controlled environment.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBLITYFinal Inspection personnel function independently within a broad scope of established departmental policies and goals, and generally refer specific problems to the supervisor only where clarification of operating policies and procedures may be required.
