CompleteRx is looking for a Quality and Compliance Pharmacy Manager to join our healthcare team. This position will have an opportunity to travel up to 30% of the time. This is a remote position and candidates must be based in Chicago, IL.
The Quality and Compliance Pharmacy Manager is responsible for ensuring our customer accounts comply with applicable accreditation standards and federal and state regulatory requirements including USP standards, Joint Commission, DNV, ACHC, CMC, applicable state board of pharmacy regulations, and federal DEA regulations.
You will be responsible for the active participation in the identification, implementation, development, and coordination of performance improvement and medication safety activities, and programs to ensure that optimum pharmaceutical care and services are provided to patients and customers at all CompleteRx facilities.

What You Will Do
Facilitate implementation of Value-Based Purchasing, patient safety, and compliance programs at CompleteRx managed accounts:
- Perform regularly scheduled tracers and assessments of all accounts to assess compliance with CompleteRx operating standards; develop performance improvement plans as needed; work in collaboration with hospital and pharmacy leadership to facilitate implementation of performance improvement initiatives; provide regular communication to key medical staff members and hospital administration team members regarding key initiatives for the area of responsibility; maintain systems to measure improvements in quality, cost or patient care; provide status updates to CompleteRx senior management; participate and present at customer business reviews as needed.
- Ensure CompleteRx pharmacies comply with current accreditation and regulatory standards and can pass review by an outside surveyor.
- Ensure CompleteRx facilities have performance improvement initiatives Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) metrics and provide dashboards.
Develop and administer training and education programs for the area of responsibility:
- Participate in the development, delivery, and implementation of training and education programs; assist the Director of Pharmacy in assessing training and education needs at client locations; work with the Director of Pharmacy to establish development goals for field-based Patient Safety and Compliance (PSPC) Officers/Pharmacists; mentor and assist in training PSPC officers/managers.
Complete consulting projects as assigned:
- Project manage consulting projects; gather, process, and analyze data; prepare deliverables; provide recommendations; prepare reports; deliver results to customers.
What You Will Need
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher.
- Pharmacy residency experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a hospital pharmacist.
- Minimum of 5 years as Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Management Position in a medium sized hospital or equivalent: Minimum of 5-years of experience in medication safety, performance improvement management including JCAHO, DNV, ACHC, or CMS survey; sterile compounding program management, medication safety data management and performance improvement experience preferred.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, with occasional overnights and/or weekends.
