Media and Communications Worker (Multimedia Specialist)
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serves as scriptwriter, editor, photographer, videographer, and producer for a variety of public affairs products. Products include internal and external communication videos, photographs, and video news releases as well as videos and photographs of ceremonies, conferences, symposiums, community activities, and other events.
· Understands how to visually tell a story using photojournalism techniques.
· Researches, prepares, and disseminates information through various digital media outlets.
· Demonstrates proficiency in operating digital video and still camera equipment and visual editing software.
· Produces motion graphics for video and has strong knowledge of lighting and sound design.
· Schedules and conducts on-camera interviews for story development and production.
· Advises leadership on video/photo equipment requirements and emerging media practices.
· Uses Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After-Effects, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Studio, PC and Mac operating systems.
· Utilizes photojournalism techniques, cinematography, digital video file conversion, motion graphics, infographics, and still photography.
Qualifications:
· Candidate must possess 3 years of experience performing multimedia specialist support functions similar to those outlined above.
· Candidate must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a favorable personnel security determination for a secret clearance.
Education:
A high school diploma is required.
