This is for someone seeking an opportunity for 2 - 3 days a week for a 2 - 3 month assignment, or a consultant with the flexibility and capacity to work on a part time basis.
What your daily responsibilities look like:
- Implement safety programs and industrial hygiene duties such as, but not limited to, hearing conservation, blood borne pathogens, air sampling, asbestos, personal protective equipment, and others as required by standards and regulations.
- Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis with reporting to management.
- Possess knowledge of industrial safety requirements, including: lockout/tagout, machine safety, chemical safety, fall prevention, electrical safety as well as proficient in hazard communication
- Must have a keen eye for details and be adept at recognizing and complying with government regulations and specific safety standards
- Employ excellent communication skills when providing jobsite safety orientation and skillful in mentoring/coaching subcontractors and employees in safe work practices
- Conduct routine (daily and weekly) jobsite safety inspections and prepare written reports on their findings
- Proficiency in reviewing safety data sheets (SDSs) for chemicals brought onsite
- Food industry experience appreciated
What you need to succeed in this role:
- Education: B.S. in Environmental, Health & Safety Management or equivalent work experience
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
- Location: Company On Site 2 to 3 days per week (8 hours per day), flexible schedule
- Travel: Ability to get to and from work site

Salary : $80,900 - $102,000
