As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we’re looking for an experienced REMOTE CORPORATE BILLING SPECIALIST.
Summary of Position :
The Billing Specialist is part of the corporate finance team and assists in clerical and record-keeping work, including keeping updated and accessible reports of customer billing / invoices, requisitions, and other financial documentation.
The Billing Specialist will report directly to the Finance Supervisor and / or Manager.
Essential Functions :
- Perform day-to-day financial activities including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
- Develop, create and distribute invoices to customers
- Track accounts receivable and process / monitor incoming payments in compliance policies and procedures
- Verify billing accounts with accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Facilitate swift payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and making collection calls to outstanding accounts
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
Requirements :
- 1-3 years relevant experience as billing specialist
- Advanced Excel skills. Familiar with Smartsheets
- Experience with SAP ONE or other accounting system.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Ability to gather data from multiple sources, calculate billings and organize multiple projects simultaneously
- Industry experience with warehousing / 3PL or manufacturing is preferred.
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent oral / written communication skills
