Compudopt is a national non-profit organization that aims to provide technology access and education to under-resourced youth and their communities. Compudopt is seeking a Community Engagement and Outreach Manager to be a key site leadership team member. This full-time position is critical to the success of our local outreach efforts by assisting with the development and execution of the localized community outreach and engagement strategy for programs and services, including, but not limited to, computer distributions, technology enrichment programs, digital literacy training, and connectivity.  This role reports to the Senior Director of Community Impact.
 
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are flexible within the core hours of M-F from 9 am—5:00 pm. Some weekend and evening hours are required.
 
The Community Engagement & Outreach Manager must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, demonstrate accountability by starting with yes, and demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow, and motivate others.
 
Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Conduct and coordinate outreach efforts for target communities (including health fairs, community outreach events, etc.)
  • Connect with local community-based organizations and/or school districts to actively drive recruitment for program participation.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Director of Community Impact, conduct media outreach via multiple platforms to help drive the success of program activities in new or existing areas.
  • Responsible for media outreach to help drive success for program activities in new or existing areas within our localized community.
  • Lead volunteer recruitment, engagement, and management.
  • Research to assess the continued need in program and community partner sites. 
  • Prepare and produce reports on prospective and existing site impact as well as site sustainability, including but not limited to metrics on connectivity, volunteerism, programs, and distributions.
  • Assist the National office with student experience efforts related to technology enrichment programs.
  • Manage collateral development for all market programs and services in partnership with the National marketing team.
  • Manage special events coordination in concert with leadership.
  • Work with both operations and program teams to ensure programmatic commitments are fulfilled.
  • Attend programmatic events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
 
  • Minimum two years working in administration, marketing, data collection, or sales.
Preferred:
  • Nonprofit community engagement experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Possess strong public relations experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
  • Strong ability to problem solve and create solutions that benefit the community and organization.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple departments or teams.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit sector.
  • High level of professional and ethical judgment

Salary is one component of Compudopt’s total compensation package, which also includes: 
  • Health, vision and dental care, employee paid life insurance, short-term disability, and AD&D
  • Compudopt contributes up to $7015 per year towards health insurance plan costs.
  • Compudopt contributes up to 4% of the match to each employee’s retirement plan.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO), 10 paid company holidays, and other leave allowances.
