Job Description
Contract Length: 11 months (possibility to extend further)
Remote/Hybrid/Onsite: 100% Remote
Rate: $60-$65/hr.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Thorough understanding of operating systems and foundation architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of systems programming, graphical user interfaces, control languages, development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of currently utilized programming productivity tools and their use.
- Advanced knowledge/skills in analyzing system software and making recommendations for performance enhancements. Required Software and Other Tools: Standard office equipment. Work Environment:
- Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
- The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, installation, configuration, and monitoring of mainframe network technology such as TCP/IP, VTAM, SNA and related technology including Communications Server, NetView, Connect:Direct (NDM), TPX, and the timely resolution of problems related to hardware and software.
- Supports network protocols for the mainframe.
- Prepare technical documentation for system software applications.
2-4 REQUIRED technologies (such as products, platforms, applications, equipment, operating systems, servers etc.)
- CICS
- z/OS
- JCL
- ISPF
Technical Proficiencies:
- Advanced knowledge in TCP/IP, VTAM and SNA
- An understanding of z/os
- Having COBOL application developer experience would be a great benefit
Required Education: MUST MEET
Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other job related field
- or 4 years of job related work experience
- or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.
Required Work Experience: MUST MEET
8 Years IT experience including extensive systems programming experience.
