We have been retained by our client in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas who is seeking to hire a skilled Power BI Developer on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. We require a candidate with significant financial business domain experience, and the ability to work onsite, but also Hybrid, with 1 days a week remote work. As a Power BI Developer , you will be responsible for creating impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI, with a focus on financial business domains. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DAX, SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and a desirable bonus if they have experience in C# .NET for creating web or desktop applications to display financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and insightful dashboards using Power BI.
- Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models using DAX, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- SQL Server and T-SQL: Utilize SQL Server and T-SQL for effective data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Stored Procedures: Develop and optimize stored procedures to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Financial Business Domain: Apply domain expertise to ensure the relevance and accuracy of financial data in Power BI reports.
- C# .NET Integration: Utilize C# .NET to create small web or desktop applications for displaying financial data (experience in this area is a plus).
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful BI solutions.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for data models, technical specifications, and development processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a focus on financial or loan business domains.
- Strong proficiency in DAX, SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
- Experience in creating web or desktop applications using C# .NET is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, report development, and data visualization principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4 years of relevant experience as a Power BI Developer.
- 4 years of SQL Server, TSQL, stored procedures.
- Additional experience in C# .NET development is a plus.
- Any Power BI certifications are a plus.
