Job Posting for Java Architect at Computer Technology Services

This position will be in support of the NYS Tax Processing System. This system is a large multi-tiered, very complex processing system which is responsible for billions in state revenue. Some of the most complex taxes are processed in this system, as shown below: 

• Corporation
• Personal Income
• Sales Tax

The position requires an expert level candidate to develop programs and functionality for the various tax systems being incorporated into the e-MPIRE Tax Processing System.

Requested Qualifications

  • 7 years experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP and XML.
  • 7 years experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDE’s, such as Eclipse, Netbeans, or IntelliJ.
  • 7 years experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or struts and Application Servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere or Weblogic.
  • 7 years experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
  • 5 years experience in performance tuning applications interacting with databases.
  • 5 years experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.
  • 7 years experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
