COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a Sales Researcher: Industries and Applications who will further our business by spearheading data-focused research surrounding the simulation requirements of new and existing customers, which can include exploring new industries and applications. This position will involve close collaboration with COMSOL engineers, who are experts in the software and fields of science where it is being used, as well as experienced sales representatives and managers. A successful candidate can look forward to training and experience in understanding the need for simulation within a specific market, and such experience can lead to numerous career opportunities and growth within COMSOL. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage research projects to understand specific industries and applications.
- Utilize internal databases to research current and prospective customers and their engineering fields.
- Research specific science and engineering disciplines via external sources (Linkedin, Google Scholar, etc.) to extract customers’ simulation needs.
- Compile and analyze internal sales data to deliver recommendations.
- Present and discuss findings to help optimize sales processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree within an engineering or science discipline.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze detailed data sets.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar mathematical, spreadsheet-based tools.
- Current eligibility to work in the U.S. No sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience researching a science or application at the academic level.
- Previous or current involvement or interactions with technology-based companies, research organizations, or technical academic institutions.
