MAINTENANCE: Landscape & Facility

Job Description:

Perform daily, a simple walk through to identify and resolve maintenance issues before guest arrival and maintain asset health and appearance.

Exterior Inspection:

• Walk grounds and perimeter for any issues.
• Check doors & windows to ensure they are fully functional
• Ensure all exterior lighting is working and timers are set appropriately
• Confirm that landscaping is properly maintained with fully functional irrigation system
• Ensure pool/spa is properly maintained, set/heating to the correct temperature, and free of debris
• Ensure grill/outdoor BBQ is operating properly with functional ignitors

Interior Inspection:

• Confirm thermostats are set to appropriate temperatures and HVAC systems are functioning properly
• Ensure property is free of pests
• Check for signs of leaks/mildew
• Check interior lights and replace bulbs
• Test all plumbing fixtures for pressure and temperature
• Confirm all appliances are fully functional
• Adjust and tighten door and cabinet hardware
• Ensure gas and/or fireplace(s) are working properly

Landscape Maintence:

· Mow and edge lawn

· Keep gravel / planted / mulched areas free from weeds

· Replace mulch / fill potholes in road with gravel (seasonally)

· Prune / trim bushes and decorative grasses (seasonally / as needed)

· Blow breezeway and walkways to keep free of debris

· Work with GM/ Winemaker to schedule and oversee tree pruning

· Spray and maintain Olive Grove (with direction from winemaker)

· Keep property free of debris / garbage

· Rake Bocce court

· Work with Estate Chef / Winemaker to maintain vegetable garden

Facility Maintenance

• Coordination and supervision of subcontractors as required: HVAC, Plumbing, Electric/Lighting , Appliances, Fireplace/Chimney (Annually), Pest Control (Monthly), Septic issues and pumping, Water/Well issues, Landscaping
• Maintain Spa at Residence
• Safety – CO/Smoke, Fire Extinguishers, Safes, etc. (Quarterly)
• Gutters/Downspouts (Semi-Annually)
• Power wash exterior surfaces as needed
• Storm Preparation and Cleanup
• Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies
• Assisting the Hospitality team with projects, event weekends and improving the overall guest experience.
• Assisting Cellar Team
• Fill portable propane tanks (heaters)
• Transport garbage from Residence to Dumpsters
• Transport case good (wine) to/ from Co-Op (storage warehouse)
• Clean and maintain workshop
• Clean and maintain company vehicles

General Handyman Services

·As needed: Minor plumbing and electrical work, Door and cabinet hardware adjustments , Minor carpentry repairs, Minor painting and wood touch-up, Minor appliance repairs and adjustments, Exterior/interior window washing, HVAC filter changes as necessary

Reliable transportation is required; we are not accessible by public transportation.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience

Flexible schedule. 30-40 hours per week. Weekends and possibly some holidays.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including fertilization and weed control
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
