Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description:

Expectations:

· Read and interpret blueprints and customer data.

· Inspect all incoming material.

· Inspect optical parts for defects such as pits, chips, ripples, scratches, and bubbles.

· Measure lens dimensions, such as thickness, radius of curvature and surface figure/roughness, and various other GD&T specifications.

· Perform quality audits.

· Complete final inspection reports, material certifications, and CofC’s.

· Package and ship products to customers.

· Responsible for calibrating shop instruments and maintaining records.

· Identity defective product and document in Discrepant Material Review (DMR) database.

· Maintain tooling inventory/database.

· Maintain semi-finished goods inventory.

· Assist with ISO program.

· Help to maintain quality record documentation including: Internal audit records, internal non- conformance’s, corrective action reports, and document change requests.

· Work with production to actively identify and address continuous improvement opportunities.

· Maintain quality records in an organized, meticulous fashion.

· Cross train and assist team members.

Qualifications:

· 1-5 years’ experience as a quality assurance technician.

· Vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

· Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, and hand and finger dexterity.

· Experience with optics inspection preferred.

· Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 preferred.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

· Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical skills.

· Self-starter.

· Independently completes projects and manages time effectively.

· Proficient in verbal and written communication.

· Strong teamwork skills and work collaboratively across departments and teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.99 - $25.00 per hour
