Position Summary: 

The Conair Engineering team is looking for a junior project manager with just the right blend of organization, creativity and project management skills. In this role, you will be responsible for the team’s project management tracking and the overall production and post-production calendars. The individual will work closely with the industrial design, product and engineering team across communications and deliver accurate updates internally and externally. 

Roles: 

  • Assist in all on-going product developments, especially new product development.
  • Assist in collecting meeting minutes, time and action information to ensure adherence to the product development calendar.
  • Manage and improve documentation process. Make recommendations to improve overall office operations and procedures.
  • Maintain the Product Development timeline to include all appropriate dates while updating for product series accuracy.
  • Monitor suppliers work in process under direction of supervisor.
  • Follow up with suppliers and CDC office as needed.
  • Communicate with all related departments to ensure product details are up to date.
  • Manage office supplies, sample inventory,

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management or similar fields. This is an entry level role for someone interested in product development.
  • Organizational and project management skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and follow up skills.
  • Fluent in Chinese to communicate with suppliers in China is a plus.
  • Advanced Computing skills (MS Office)
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Environmental Factors: 

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (10% if needed)
  • This position is based in Stamford, CT and in-office 5 days/week.
