Conair is looking for a Mechanical Engineer student to join our Engineering team for the upcoming summer.
We have a tenured department looking to train the next generation of Engineers!

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will play an integral part of our team, while gaining real-world experience and a comprehensive understanding of various engineering functions.
- This internship is Mon - Fri in the Torrington, CT office.
YOUR SKILLS
To be successful in this internship, we are looking for:
- Undergraduate students currently enrolled in at least their sophomore year pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Analytical skills: ability to develop fact-based recommendations resulting from in-depth data analysis.
- Communication skills: collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
- Project management skills: strong work ethic and ability to meet project deadlines.
In this Internship, you will:
- Assist on Engineering Projects
- Set Up and Breakdown of Equipment. Learn the different machines and techniques used for testing.
- Run tests and write reports documenting calculation methods and results, cause & analysis, design assumptions, and other technical information.
- Conduct research on consumer products.
- Will work on projects cross divisionally including Conair, Cuisinart and Waring products and appliances.
- Lead and research a project and present findings at the end of the summer.
- Work closely with all team members of the Engineering dept.
- Work on cause & analysis of returned products.
Environmental Factors:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
