Job Description
The Operator – Filler is responsible for setting up and operating filler machine devices by performing the following duties.
What your day will look like:
- Observe and regulate machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled products to standards
- Execute machine(s) changeovers and support preventative maintenance requirements as needed
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standards
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, identify cause of errors and report malfunctions to a supervisor
- Perform product quality checks and record data accurately to ensure product conformity

- Must accept responsibility for the safe and efficient completion of all clean-up functions
- Must be able to learn to communicate mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel without close supervision
- Preference given to employees with previous experience in hot fill or cold fill processes to which they will be assigned.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position
- Employees who have held the Filler Relief Operator or Filler Operator Position for at least 90 days will have preference in qualifying for the position
