Job Posting for Interior Design Assistant at Concept 2 Design

We are looking for a part time Interior Design Assistant, with a minimum of two years working experience in the industry. This position would be charged with supporting the principal Designer through all phases of our design process to include, but not limited to, sourcing materials and furnishings, assist with CAD drawings, presentation preparation, site visits, order procurement, and ensuring smooth management of our projects from inception to installation.

The role of Design Assistant demands a high level of organization and excellent communication skills with an openness to direction and feedback. Must work well under pressure while exhibiting a calm and professional demeanor.
We are a small home based office, so overall assistance with day to day tasks, both minor and important, will be key. Candidates should have a passion for interior design and a willingness and desire to learn and grow within our firm.
The position will start at part time (20-25 hours / week) with an opportunity to develop to full time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 year experience at a residential design firm OR industry related company
  • Interior Design Degree
  • Strong computer skills especially with AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office: Powerpoint, Word, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of quality materials and vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal skills are required for both internal and external communication with staff, vendors, and clients
  • Willingness to play a key part in a small office, from the simplest tasks to the most important
  • Flexibility with schedule.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Fort Lauderdale, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
