Concept Plus is seeking a Cloud Architect to provide technical support to a federal clients' systems.
Job Description:
The Cloud Architect will design and provide technical oversight and direction of the development of Intel cloud software products including system software, frameworks, and applications. Research, design and implement optimal end-to-end cloud computing software solutions for cloud, cloud native, orchestration, service mesh, networking, microservices, and/or distributed computing. Engage with customers to understand use cases, influence architecture and optimize software, and interact with technologists and product/product managers across Intel to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Make design and implementation choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, and security.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the enterprise architecture strategy and vision, aligning it with the business goals and objectives. Communicate the implementation of this vision through architectural diagrams and standards consumable by development teams.
- Create and maintain technology roadmaps that guide the organization’s technology decisions and investments.
- Leverage extensive knowledge of AWS to design scalable and secure cloud-based solutions focusing on providing architectural runway and reference architectures that enable quick implementation
- Lead the adoption and implementation of microservices architecture patterns to improve scalability, flexibility, and maintainability. Mentor development teams on architectural understandings of key concepts to drive technical decision-making at the team level.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders, to drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment. Align architectural processes to the cadences and practices indicated in the SAFe methodologies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Minimum Required Qualifications (Must Have):
- 5 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect in a similar role, with strong background in multiple architectural paradigms including microservices-based architecture and clean architecture
- 5 years of experience with or working with Selenium, Jenkins, Terraform, Artifactory
- 5 years of experience working in an environment focused on delivering within the Microsoft technology stack
- 5 years of experience in DevSecOps tools and practices that enable agility, ensure compliance, and enhance throughput through automation
- Security CE or CCNA Security certification required
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of influencing technological decisions and driving architectural excellence
- AGILE Environment experience
- Possess USAF functional experience
- The following certifications or willingness to pursue: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAFe Architect or The Open Group Architecture Framework(TOGAF)
