Full-time Contract Attorney
Concord Technologies is currently seeking a Full-time Contract Attorney for its growing team in Seattle, Washington. We are looking for a mid-level attorney with excellent research and communication skills and experience reviewing and writing contracts. The ideal candidate has at least three years’ experience working in a large law firm and/or a judicial clerkship, is familiar with healthcare, data privacy and security laws, has good judgment and is ready to apply those skills working in-house in a fast-paced environment. You are eager to work with teams across the company, rolling up your sleeves to get a variety of legal work done in a timely fashion, serving your client with professionalism and, always, a sense of humor. Ambiguity does not ruffle you and you know when to ask questions. We work collaboratively with our colleagues in a supportive environment, yet you will be joining a small, busy legal team that will rely on your good judgment, flexibility, and ability to work independently. You will be a key member of the legal department responsible for supporting a world-class organization providing world-class services to our customers.
As a Contract Attorney at Concord, you will report to and work directly with the Chief Legal Counsel on a variety of legal matters. You will review and redline customer service and licensing contracts, business associate, data privacy, and nondisclosure agreements, prioritizing work based on deadlines and urgency. You will be responsible for completing research as needed and will assist with drafting presentations and customer facing written collateral.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review and revise sales and vendor contracts, BAAs, DPAs, NDAs, and related agreements.
- Conduct legal and factual research.
- Prepare written reports for Chief Legal Counsel.
- Assist with scheduling, project tracking, and organization.
- Exercise and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Legal Counsel.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Actively admitted to practice law in at least one state, preferably Washington
- Minimum of three years of experience as an attorney in a large sized law firm.
- Minimum one year of experience reviewing complex contracts with a preference for two or more years’ experience.
- Experience with HIPAA and/or data privacy and security law a plus.
- Ability to conduct complex analysis and creative problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent legal research skills
- Highly organized with an attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task, juggling competing demands.
- Comfort working in fast-paced organization, with ability to work cross-functionally with ease.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Highest ethical and professional conduct and integrity
- Desire to grow with a high-growth company
Compensation Range: $140,000-$180,000. Range can flux dependent on experience, education/training, etc.
