Overview:
The Post-Release Career Coach works directly with participants to facilitate education and employment preparation. The Post-Release Career Coach provides classroom-based education, facilitates workplace simulation training, and supports participants through part-time and full-time work through the Concordance Employment Agency.
Your role will involve:
- Facilitating excellent participant programming:
- Conducting impactful 1:1 and group sessions, maintaining frequent and supportive participant communication
- Consistently delivering high-quality education and employment curriculum to participants
- Supporting participants in transitions from classroom learning to workplace simulation to part-time and full-time employment
- Preparing for sessions with participants by reviewing curriculum and participant case notes
- Documenting participant interactions, progress, and challenges
- Collaborative team engagement
- Collaborating closely with participants’ care team, including Case Managers and Therapists, to ensure coordination of services and holistic care delivery
- Engaging with participants’ supervisors to review progress and intercept challenges in part-time and full-time employment
- Attending team meetings and trainings

Required education, licensure, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, human resources, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience delivering workforce development or career coaching to a vulnerable population
- Preferred certifications: Certified Professional Career Coach and/or Offenders Workforce Development Specialist
