JROTC Army Instructor

Concordia Lutheran High School seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a JROTC Army Instructor. The candidate must be a retired Active Component (Active Duty or Active Guard Reserve) Soldier in the grades of E-6 through E-9, W-1 through W5. A Reserve Component Soldier retired in the grades listed above, under Title 10, United States Code (USC), section 1223 (Reserve Service), may be considered for hard-to-fill locations only; have an Associate’s Degree or obtain an Associate Degree within 5 years of initial hiring; be retired no more than five years (for initial employment) and in receipt of or entitled to retirement pay; have been discharged under honorable conditions from all previous enlistments and prior service, if any, before employment; meet JROTC Medical Fitness and Standards; possess sufficient medical, physical, and mental fitness; be willing to perform, participate in, and supervise activities of JROTC; and pass the Child Care National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI).

The JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) Army Instructor (AI) will assist the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) as the institutional leader in managing the conducting the JROTC program in accordance with United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) regulatory guidelines and Concordia Educational Association (CEA) requirements, rules and policies. Assists the SAI to accomplish the instructional, operations and administrative mission of the JROTC program. Responsible for providing classroom instruction to cadets as established within the curriculum’s program of instruction (POI) as provided by USACC and CEA guidelines and policies. Adheres to Concordia Lutheran High School (CLHS) JROTC established operating procedures relating to administration, control, and training of cadets. Assists in establishing and maintaining viable extra-curricular activities such as Color Guards, Drill Teams, Raider Teams, Rifle Teams, Robotics Teams and Junior ROTC Academic and Leadership Bowl Teams.
