Digital Marketing Specialist

We have a newly created opportunity for a Digital Marketing Specialist to support the delivery of digital creative assets, focused on website optimizations, automated technology including email and text, and social media technology, driving qualified traffic through all digital channels. This position utilizes knowledge of technology and emerging media to ensure campaign impact and attention to detail to facilitate program management and execution with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for the distribution and maintenance of digital content.
    • Support email journey building.
    • Support website content updates/maintenance.
    • Coordinate with Content Strategists, Marketing Directors and Project Manager to develop content calendars, establishing frequency of communication, and collating content and completing the execution / delivery of digital projects – i.e., sending emails, scheduling social media posts.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to test emerging media and dial in how to leave our best digital impression with our ministries and members (i.e. geo-fencing, or highly targeted digital advertising).
    • Manage key conversion points in the marketing funnel, including landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and lead-generating forms.
      • A/B test and measure the performance of these conversion assets, working with the research team.
  • Develop/implement/advocate for best practice UX/user interface design strategies for optimal customer experience across platforms.
  • Activate learnings from analytics to optimize process and digital delivery logistics.
  • Assess response and engagement to test, learn, adapt and optimize for success.
  • Maintains awareness of digital landscape, industry standards, trends and best practices, identifies opportunities and leverages digital creative assets for ongoing enhancement and growth in a timely and effective manner.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications; digital media degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience building digital communications (i.e. email campaigns, text programs, etc.) and managing good data hygiene practices within an automated marketing system.
  • 2 years of experience managing social media administration.
  • 2 years of experience supporting website content maintenance, using a content management system and UX.
  • Knowledge/experience in digital platforms and CRM/marketing automation.
  • High proficiency in digital creation tools, methods, approaches and evaluation.
  • Experience in employee benefits, insurance or benefit consulting, preferred.
