Enrollment Eligibility Representative

This position provides comprehensive enrollment support through data audit, member service, and timely communication, processing and resolution of employer and member requests.

Essential Job Functions
  • Processes enrollments and changes (including transfers, status changes and terminations) received via enrollment forms, customer interactions, Benefits Administration System cases and/or data audits according to plan provisions, outlined procedures and federal or state laws.
  • Maintains accuracy of member and employer enrollment records in enrollment systems, including the Benefit Administration System and Lawson.
  • Consistently meets processing timeliness, accuracy and/or customer service goals as defined by Team Manager.
  • Handles specialized processing for unique enrollment situations (i.e. annual compensation reports, dependent student eligibility, leave of absence, CRP benefits).
  • Serves as front line representative for enrollment department via phone and email for customers and internal teams.
  • Creates and fulfills enrollment-related communications, including letters, emails and reports.
  • Supports other CPS functions, providing research, decision support and subject matter expertise for assigned work areas.
  • Reviews and updates procedural manual for job responsibilities and work processes.
  • Works and manages transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Performs additional tasks and projects to reach team and departmental objectives as required.

Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or related work experience, required; Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Experience managing time-sensitive processes, deadlines, etc.
  • Successful participation on collaborative teams.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Experience in administering benefit plans, preferred.
  • Experience using workflow management technology, preferred.
  • One year of business office environment, preferred.

Competencies
  • Able to quickly understand benefit plans, functions and requirements within Operations, and key interactions among CPS departments/disciplines and related business systems.
  • Demonstrated documentation and record keeping skills.
  • Systems fluency: command of system and collaborative tools (BAS, Salesforce, Lawson), basic MS Office suite skills.
  • Communication: ability to articulate complex information simply and concisely in person, over the phone and in writing, and to reflect CPS values in all internal and external communications.
  • Customer orientation: demonstrates a high commitment to concepts and principles of Integrity Service program or similar values-based customer service / management program, is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Organizational savvy: ability to navigate effectively in highly regulated industry and with complex organizations required; experience navigating LCMS structure and operations.
  • Performance management and development: sets clear goals and objectives, cooperates and participates fully in the coaching process, and actively seeks continuous learning to improve personal and team performance.
  • Team work: participates fully on assigned and adjunct teams, fosters a collaborative spirit, builds collaborative networks with internal staff and vendor representatives.
  • Sensitivity: practices high level of confidentiality and works comfortably with individuals in crisis.
  • Social / interpersonal skills: interacts effectively with a wide variety of people; respectful and maintains the dignity of others; amicable; fosters differing opinions and values input from various perspectives.
