ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the reputation of high-quality craftsmanship
- Must have extensive knowledge of construction safety and must demonstrate and enforce a strong safety culture.
- Develop and maintain complete and detailed project schedules and manage work in accordance with the schedule (cost objectives of employees, materials, and equipment as well as quality control on the job site).
- Positive, efficient, and effective supervision of crews ranging from 10-50 employees over multiple projects.
- Effective and timely resolution of conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims.
- Ability to instruct and supervise field labor activities as well as field staff on the processes, policies, and procedures essential to the project. Also, able to provide disciplinary or corrective action in a professional manner.
- Monitor performance, coordinate work to maintain productivity, and ensure an adequate workforce.
- Ensure all work is constructed in accordance with all contract documents.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years experience as a Superintendent within a specialty contractor and experience with self-performing contractors.
- Employees must be proficient in Microsoft Office- including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Blueprint & Spec Reading
- Strong people & Social skills
- Effective and professional communication within all levels- project manager, contractors, and clients, etc. - written and oral
- Must have strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking
