About the Role

 

This position is office based (Burtonsville, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Tacoma Park, Chevy Chase) and the employee must reside in the Montgomery County vicinity for client response time commitments within 2 hours on regular business days. 

Responsibilities

  • Installing applications for automated enforcement camera proprietary software, building access – card reader software, VPN software.
  • Managing hardware/software installations and troubleshooting: local file, printer, domain controller server maintenance, replacement, printer hardware/software installation and client facing troubleshooting. Waystation (Local Server) maintenance and software upgrading/troubleshooting of servers updates security patches, script issues, virus and security software packages
  • Providing onsite technical support of desktop/laptop computers, printers, password/access management, new computer setups, local/server system checks and communication (LAN) troubleshooting.
  • Utilizing analytical ability to solve problems and make recommendations.
  • Maintaining local servers and troubleshooting with internet vendors (cable, T1, wireless and other hi-speed communication protocols), Conduent NetOps team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows server
  • 3 years experience in a customer-facing/troubleshooting or analysis role and/or degree.
  • Build, configurate and maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Display technical curiosity and interest in technology.
  • Able to demonstrate advanced analytical ability and troubleshooting skills.
