What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Conestoga?
The Maintenance staff is responsible for all maintenance issues including installs, repairs, and equipment transfers within the plant to ensure the plant remains operational.

- Monitor, maintain, and repair minor electrical and systems including centrifuges, conveyors, hammermills, pumps, gearboxes, and valves
- Check heat sources, pressures, change belts, grease bearings, keep oil full as needed, flush pipes
- Perform precision alignments on belted and direct coupled equipment.
- Take readings and compare trends
- Perform maintenance during scheduled shutdowns
- Service equipment and company vehicles
- Upgrade and install new equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace equipment as needed
- Detect and fix leaks, noises, smells, and vibrations in equipment
- Assist vendors when contract work is needed
- Fabricate and weld equipment as needed
- One year of related maintenance work experience
- Ability to operate company equipment
- Climb stairs or climb to heights
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of plumbing
- High School diploma/GED
