Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide.
We are looking for an experienced Network Operations Center Manager to lead a team in the monitoring and support our growing national data network providing Internet and voice services to residential and business customers. You will be part of a network operations team that is responsible for maintaining high availability data networks and computer systems that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to NOC technicians
- Define, implement, and enforce business processes including:
1. configuration and change management policies and practices
2. event notification, escalation, and resolution
- Define, develop, and report on KPI metrics to document the status and reliability of network devices and links
- Provide remote network and systems monitoring and support for our network and business partners
- Support cross function teams to support the growing demands of the business reporting and status monitoring of all critical systems as the business grows
- Manage tools and software as required to monitor network and computer systems
- Support a mix of internal and external customers
Requirements
Qualifications/Skills:
- Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
- Broad knowledge of network and computing infrastructures including IP networking, Microsoft OS and Applications, and web-based applications
- Familiarity with enterprise software configuration, management, and monitoring tools
- Experience with network monitoring protocols and tools such as:
1. SNMP, IPFIX, Netflow, etc
2. Nagios, SolarWinds, MRTG, etc
3. Command line and web interfaces to devices and software
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues
- Service driven self-starter to with proven record of support qualifications
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows Office 365, Windows OS, and network device management of routers and switches
