Hiring Immediately! We are looking for a 3D Drafter/ mechanical designer to be part of the engineering department at a busy Industrial Fabrication company. You will work under the direction of senior engineers to assist in developing detailed shop drawings and permit submittal drawings packages. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in industrial design, AutoCAD, and AutoDesk Inventor.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drawings for projects (Foundation, Structural, ducting layout, Equipment, sheet metal, general lay-outs).
- Assist with the production of mechanical assemblies.
- Assist in developing detailed shop drawings and permit submittal drawings packages.
- Attend periodic meetings to speak about current and upcoming projects.
- Actively participate in other duties instructed by the manager.
- Work cohesively with the senior engineers and other team members.
Requirements:
- 2 years minimum experience in 3D modeling and 2D AutoCAD drafting.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (at least 1 year).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, outlook), data entry, AutoCAD, and AutoDesk Inventor.
- Sheet metal design experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- AutoCAD experience.
- Fully proficient in the use of Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience using Revit and Advance Steel.
- Understanding of manufacturing concepts of sheet metal fabrication.
- Previous experience designing piping, HVAC, and ducting is highly recommended.
