Assistant Event Coordinator/Maitre'D
About the Position:
The Assistant Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating between banquet staff, kitchen staff, vendors, and clients to ensure that each event is seamlessly executed at the highest level of service expected.
This position will directly perform hands-on for each event working with the client/member day of as well as cover all basis to train employees and continuously assure that a high level of service is maintained and will be expected to otherwise role model appropriate behaviors to staff.
Strong customer service and strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and conduct the flow of entire events are qualities needed by the Event Coordinator.
The ability to motivate and develop employees is required. Manager performance is measured by the overall ability to completely and smoothly execute events whilst maintaining the high standard of quality service that is expected of our country club. This is further measured by the performance of the employees in providing consistent quality guest experiences.
This position reports directly to the Director of Events.
Minimum Requirements
· Ability to work a FLEXIBLE schedule inclusive of weekends and holidays with open availability. Ability to close all weddings and catering events with staff.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, employees and clientele while listening to concerns when necessary. Ability to manage a team of waitstaff throughout each event to ensure proper execution
· Extensive customer service and resolution skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills
· Ability to demonstrate professionalism and poise at all times even under pressure
· Must be able to work independently and run a team
. Strong Word/Excel/Design (Canva) or similar skills to create menus and event signage
· Minimum 2 years experience in event management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per hour
