Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Telephony Architect with a great architectural design background and hands-on experience for the design, implementation, and support of our large-scale enterprise class cloud contact center. This includes infrastructure that will host vendor platforms such as Five9, and Verint as well as in-house developed applications that support the contact center from a desktop and real-time communication point.
This role is both an individual contributor and coordination that requires working with various teams to achieve a successful result.
Responsibilities
- Develops strategic roadmaps and drives infrastructure vision of Cloud first into actionable steps
- Leads strategic engineering standards, design processes and procedures on projects with agility, scale, and automation in mind.
- Define, architect (design), and implement enterprise telephony and teleconferencing solution in the cloud
- Collaborates with larger organization to develop and evaluate new technologies and their viability based on the infrastructure roadmap
- Work closely with peers, business leadership, and global team to ensure highest levels of operational excellence and provide continuous improvement.
- Understands life cycle of technical project and provides leadership in executing them to completion.
- Mentor team members and provides high levels of customer service experience.
Qualifications
- 5 years hands-on experience in the design and implementation of Cloud telephony platforms
- Programing experience in Java and/or Python, and API integrations, hands-on experience with Java preferred
- Experience with storage and database technologies (MS SQL mainly)
- 5 years of experience in the support and implementation of complex IT systems.
- Preferred Experience of 2 years with Five9
- Experience architecting telephony solutions in the cloud
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Experience managing projects and executing them to success.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and works with high degree of integrity and accountability with a global team
- Strives for continuous improvement and open to following evolving industry standards, like cloud, automation, and at scale design
- Understands that documentation and monitoring are of extremely importance to engineering
- Experience with vendor management, keeping them accountable, handling quarterly business review (QBR), roadmap, etc.
- Experience with call accounting software, and call recording platforms
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours work.
- Experience with scripting and automation is highly desirable
- Programing experience in Java and/or Python, and API integrations
- Experience with storage and database technologies (MS SQL mainly)
- Can handle technical escalations with assertiveness
- Availability to periodically travel to domestic and international sites
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
