Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Summary: My client is in search of a strong, well-rounded & experienced accountant. This individual will be accountable for:
· Prepare/Reconcile bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
· Maintain Balance sheet schedules monthly.
· Support Cash Flow Model creation & support
· Run and create commission QB reports
· Create daily Journal entries
· Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
· Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
· Perform expense account analysis.
· Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
· Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
· Special projects or additional duties as assigned.
· Support all AP & AR functions.
· Support Reconciliation for ecommerce platforms
· Assist with Tax preparation.
· Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
· Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
· Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
· Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
Experience & Credentials
· 3-5 years of Accounting Experience
· Must have intermediate experience with QuickBooks & Excel
· BA in Accounting
· Must have good excel skills.
· Must be self-motivated.
· Experience with accounting software and data entry
· Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets
· Ability to work independently.
· Analytical skills
· Must be able to work at HQ Norwalk, CT 3-4 days a week.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
- Perform bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and process vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Conduct technical accounting research to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
