ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR
An ADP client is currently seeking an Accounting Administrator to join their team in Ramsey, MN (55303)
Who we are:
Our client is servicing the retail fixture, architectural, packaging, pharmaceutical, food, and dairy industries. They specialize in producing various materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, brass, and aluminum.
About the role:
As an experienced Accounting Administrator, you will manage and coordinate the activity and operations of the accounting department and staff. The Accounting administrator will report to the Manufacturing Operations Manager.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.
- Reviews and analyzes the organization's accounting operation.
- Prepares and analyzes financial reports; prepares reports required by banks, investors, and other external parties.
- Manages monthly accounting close cycle; prepares month-end financial statement.
- Review the hours of employees and prepare and run payroll weekly.
- Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Responsible for all treasury functions, including banking transactions.
- Accountable for processing and managing the A/R and A/P processes.
- Coordinates year-end audits.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Supervisory Responsibilities also include supervising 1 employee within the Administration department.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A. / B.S.) in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
- Two to four years of related experience or equivalent is required.
- Proficient in Quickbooks, Excel, and various business systems is required.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
