In search of an AV Technician that is good at rack dressing, wiring, hookup, installation, commissioning and servicing a wide variety of audio visual systems and equipment. We are Crestron dealers that specialize in commercial and home automation. The AV Technician must have experience in Low Voltage and some installations. Looking for someone with a positive energy that is a team player.
Previous Crestron experience is a plus.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, assemble, install and terminate AV equipment racks and head-ends with an emphasis on dressing the rack cleanly and professionally. Must be detail oriented.
- Install, terminate, test and label a variety of low voltage and AV-specific cable types: CAT5/6, coax cable, speaker wire, line-level audio and microphone wire, etc.
- Install and properly support a variety of AV components including but not limited to video displays, projectors, projection screens and speakers
- Read and understand blue prints and AV system schematic diagrams
- Identify cable paths and relay site survey information to project managers
- Perform start-up and debugging of AV systems. (Experience with Crestron Systems is preferred)
- Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose and repair any system
- Maintain records by documenting installation
- Complete all assigned tasks within the specified cost budget and schedule
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned with a can-do attitude
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High school graduate (minimum) plus substantial related experience
- Strong understanding of audio video systems and practical field experience
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems and practical field experience
- Clean cut professional appearance
- Experience with Crestron and Low Voltage preferred
