6 months to 1 YEAR of ELECTRONICS EXPERIENCE IN MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SERVICE FIELD REQUIRED!
TRAVEL: This is a service field tech position which will require travel around Norfolk and the surrounding areas. Some clients are 15 minutes away, others up to 2 hours or more. Position may require overnight stay 1 time per week or less.
Fantastic organization hiring a Biomedical / Medical Equipment Tech. Client requires at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in either Biomedical or Medical Equipment field as a Technician.

1 YEAR ELECTRONICS EXPERIENCE IN MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SERVICE FIELD REQUIRED!
- Independently perform a variety of journey-level work including coordinating all aspects of medical equipment scheduled maintenance,
inspection, safety testing, repairs, parts sourcing and new equipment installations
- Documentation of equipment maintenance activities in the company database
- Closely communicates with the clinical departments at each delay, repair
milestone, or completion
- Research and order parts to perform repairs and maintenance
- Provides technical in-service and support to Facility staff in proper operation of patient care equipment
- Utilizes knowledge of manufacturers’ manuals to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve system equipment malfunctions to repair and calibrate in accordance with technical requirements
- Maintains test calibration equipment
- Maintains an excellent rapport with fellow co-workers, hospital and clinic facility staff, and vendors
- Participates in a rotating regional on-call schedule
- Builds rapport with customer accounts and emphasis on expert customer service skills

Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
Technical Certification, or Associates degree in Electronics or Biomedical Electronics or equivalency required
CBET or similar credential preferred
Minimum of one (1) years full time electronics experience in the medical equipment service field required
