Summary
The Bookkeeping role is part financial and part administrative. The accounts payable and accounts receivable portion of the position are critical in ensuring the cash is flowing into the company in a predictable manner. The administrative portion is tied to your ability to organize, keep track of, and manage files for clients, employees and vendors.

We are a Service organization operating in the roofing industry. With over 30 years in Consulting and Real Estate, our team has drawn experience from outside the industry to provide a unique service and approach to roofing.
We build deep relationships with large property owners and managers by providing solutions to our clients’ roofing challenges as a consultative approach. We value long term relationships vs one time events. Our clients are prominent colleges and large property management and real estate funds within Central and Eastern Virginia.
Opportunity
This role is located within our Richmond, VA office as a hybrid in-office / work from home combination. We are looking for both part-time and full-time bookkeepers. General responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Posting expenses, cutting checks and managing payables.
- Posting payments, managing collections and overseeing receivables.
- Coordinate, monitor, review and collect overdue/outstanding accounts.
- Assign and manage the costs allocated to jobs.
- Maintaining files and records and running financial reports.
- Manage subcontractor paperwork and client requests for paperwork (W-9, Insurance Certificates)
- Manage vehicle fleet documentation and repairs
- Should be comfortable working individually with little supervision and possess the ability to prioritize daily, weekly and monthly workflow.
Requirements
In addition to embracing and living the company’s core values, there are a few requirements for this position.
- Two Year Degree in Accounting or related field preferred; or 3 years equivalent experience in accounts receivable or related field preferred.
- Be professional in your verbal and written communications.
- Ability to compose basic written business communications.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks or Quickbooks Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
