What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Accountant position at Confidential?
We are a local CPA company assisting our client to find an experienced Construction Accountant to join their team. A family-oriented construction company is aggressively seeking an Accountant with 5 years experience to streamline the financial close cycle, enhance the quality and depth of financial reports, while performing a wide variety of Accounting department functions. Responsibilities will include:
* Account reconciliation
* Analyzing the general ledger to insure items are properly categorized and significant variances are researched,
* Job costing and contract balance maintenance
* Ensuring completeness and accuracy of monthly closings
* Monthly journal entries,
* Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Billing
* Preparing financial reports in a timely and accurate manner
5 years experience, preferably in the construction industry, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel required! Sage software experience a huge plus!
