Job Description:
As a Dental Assistant with 2 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental clinic. Your dedication to patient care, dental expertise, and ability to work as part of a collaborative team will make you a valued member of our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for their dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Assist the dentist during various dental treatments and procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Infection Control: Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Dispose of contaminated materials and instruments in compliance with regulations.
Administrative Support: Maintain and update patient records accurately.
Schedule appointments and manage patient appointments efficiently.
Handle billing, insurance claims, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Dental Equipment Management: Prepare, organize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with dental equipment as necessary.
Radiography: Take, process, and develop dental X-rays, following safety guidelines and protocols.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team, including dentists, hygienists, and front office staff, to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Communicate effectively with team members and support a positive and cooperative work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal dental assistant training or certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant.
- Proficiency in dental software and computer skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
