Design Consultant - Interior Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Design Consultant to join our Austin team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail. As a Design Consultant, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet our clients' needs and vision. This role provides an incredible opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types in our studio. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Four-year degree in a related field, or four years of related experience, preferably in production or custom home design
  • Promote, represent, and embrace our company's values, vision and brand through communication, personal appearance, and professionalism.
  • Provides interior design advice and product expertise to customers ensuring completion of selections and sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics.
  • Excellent oral, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers, team members, management, and trade partners.
  • Must be able to accurately read a measuring tape, interpret drawings, read architectural plans, and produce design renderings.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills by email and in person
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations.
  • Maintains showrooms samples and merchandising.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Highly detailed and organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The physical requirements described herein are necessary to perform the essential functions of this job. Walking, standing, sitting, climbing a service ladder, reaching out and lifting at least 25lbs., all while maneuvering around a showroom and office.
