SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for planning and managing the following areas: the resort bars, activities staff, and resort entertainers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for a staff of 10 employees, including scheduling, annual reviews and hiring.
- Maintain inventory controls and ordering for resort’s bars, day spa, fitness center and all food and beverage outlets.
- Organization and operation of weekly and semi-annual guest participation functions.
- Develop resort based kid’s program and daily activities schedule for all ages of guest’s on property.
- Responsible for planning, approval and implementation of new spa and recreational functions.
- Daily interaction with Guests to resolve all customer relation issues
- Negotiates contracts and maintains relationships with preferred vendors.
- Compiles estimated cost models, submits final budget, tracks budget statistics, and prepares management reports.
- Organizes required catering services and room and communication equipment setup.
- Manages on-site staffing
- Determines appropriates responses to problems and emergencies.
- Provides project status updates.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
