DISTRIBUTION MANAGER
Position Summary This position manages and directs all elements of Sorting and Distribution processes. Provides leadership and support to the team while managing process metrics. Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: ● Oversee Distribution Center and Sorting teams and processes.
● Responsible for developing and achieving the operating budgeting metrics.
● Implement strategic initiatives that provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
● Implement cost effective systems of control in operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
● Maintain and improve production requirements of pieces per man hour and on time delivery to customers.
● Hire and train staff.
● Work with customer Service and Production Control to meet on time delivery to customers.
● Work with Quality to ensure sorting criteria is established and being adhered to.
● Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times
● Responsible for inventory accuracy and cycle counts.
● Create reports to help track daily activities in the Sorting and Distribution areas.
● Communicate with Management Staff problems that impact the flow of products.
● Support Supply Chain with freight and carrier negotiations where applicable.
Qualifications-Education/Experience Required:
● Minimum 5 years of progressive experience working in distribution, logistics, sorting, or related experience.
● HS diploma, GED or equivalent.
● Proven leadership/supervisory ability. Previous supervisory experience.
● Must have familiarity with IATF16949, ISO14001, and corporate requirements.
● Excellent communication skills - with all levels. ● Proficient Office Suite skills (Microsoft and/or Google).
Preferred:
● BS degree in supply chain management, logistics management or related field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
