What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Manager position at Confidential?

This position will be responsible for the supervisor and direction of assigned employee partners in remote locations. This position will also be responsible for all processes, safety, procedures, quality, and quantity expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises all employee partners on their assigned organizational unit.
  • Plan, assign and direct work assignments; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employee partners; Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Ensure the proper training and development of all assigned employee partners; work with the Human Resources Department to identify training gaps and develop appropriate training activities; completes their own required training and ensures that all employee partners also complete their required training
  • Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Ensures the safety of all employee partners by checking for safety/housekeeping hazards and addressing issues immediately.
  • Performs all responsibilities in a safe manner, acts as a role model for safety
  • Completes incident reports thoroughly, timely, and accurately; conducts preliminary investigations on safety incidents
  • Sets goals for assigned employee partners
  • Prepares staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage is maintained for all responsibilities or their assigned locations
  • Attend meetings as necessary
  • Regularly visit Warehouse locations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Travel Required - 75%


Education & Certificates and/or Experience

  • High School, GED, or equivalent required
  • 4-year college degree or 2–4-year technical degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous leadership experience is desired.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time. The employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Required PPE for all positions are supplied by the Company. Positions include repetitive work.
