Responsibilities for Fabrication Manager:
• Manage / schedule the fabrication department using a Kanban replenishment system
• Responsible for the efficient operation of 56 presses ranging in capacity from 150 T to 800 T, using over 300 different die combinations, hydraulic press lines, and over 30 robotic processes
• Provide leadership to local for global programs to improve supplier quality
• Drive profitable delivery of 1st Fit Capital Goods on time
• Manage all project risks
• Negotiate resolution of complex technical and commercial issues with customers
• Capitalize on opportunities to increase profit on 1st Fit Capital Goods projects
• Maintain performance measurements (actuals versus targeted estimated) for cost, quality and schedule
• Assist in developing strategies to win business (projects) through the competitive bidding process
• Participate in and drive continuous improvement efforts to improve profitability, delivery times and customer satisfaction
Qualifications for Fabrication Manager:
• At least five years of leadership experience in a large manufacturing environment
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels in the organization
• Understanding of capital, tooling and expense budgeting
• Understanding of lean manufacturing tools and TPM
• Proven ability of driving initiatives that support change
• Excellent communication, both written and oral skills, interpersonal skills, in addition to being results oriented, creative and self-motivated are required
