Facilities Manager
SUMMARY
Plan, manage and coordinate the activities of the maintenance organization to insure efficient performance of manufacturing equipment and facility. Research, assess and give input to proposals for capital projects, new technology and equipment installations. Provides hands-on maintenance assistance as needed.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform all duties with a focus on optimizing safety, quality, and cost.
Availability to support plant's hours of operation and be on call as required.
Manage maintenance budget and coordinate annual budget submission; develop and implement Capital Asset Requests.
Organize, prioritize, and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities as required.
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC programs and hardware issues.
Effectively meet department initiatives by managing and improving work order completion time, part organization and stockouts, and machine downtime.
Partner with production management and shop floor personnel to solve equipment problems quickly, safely, and effectively.
Maintains network to local and regional maintenance companies and equipment suppliers to support the facility's maintenance needs.
Provide technical expertise and resources, collaborating with other functions in the facility.
Project Manager for capital projects.
Lead site energy management programs.
Support lean manufacturing activities and initiatives, such as 5S, visual management, kaizens.
Ensure team members' adherence to all safety and OSHA compliance requirements.
Attends production and safety meetings daily and monthly. Consistently strives to improve his position through career development.
Executes company personnel policies and procedures by reviewing handbook and working with Human Resources as needed to effectively resolve employee problems, conflicts, etc.
Coaches and counsel employees as needed to continuously improve individual performance.
Promotes teamwork within departments and buildings by maintaining consistency, honesty, and integrity.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILL, ABILITY AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTIC REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong electrical and PLC program background.
- Ability to solve problems analytically and independently.
- Ability to make sound, well thought-out decisions.
- Drive to do things well; willingness to put forth the effort.
- Develop people through coaching and teaching.
- Ability to look “downstream” and do long range planning. PC experience (Microsoft Office) preferred.
- Willingness to generate new ideas and find better ways to do things.
- Develop an overall understanding of technical aspects of position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree.
- Electrical and PLC program background.
- Minimum Five years’ experience within a manufacturing atmosphere.

$85,000 - $105,000 Based on experience
