- Advising students regarding degree requirements, course selection sequences, and program policies and procedures
- Conducting one-on-one advising and counseling sessions with prospective applicants and current students at professional associations and corporate locations
- Guiding part-time students on course selection & developing a personalized academic model regarding plan of study
- Monitoring students in academic jeopardy and assist in developing an action plan as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (master’s degree preferred) in business, education, counseling or related field
- At least two years of professional work experience
- Advising experience in higher education strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office & Google suites
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when interacting with students
