What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Confidential?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations or inquiries
- Manage waitlists and ensure timely seating of guests
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong guest service orientation and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems, Opentable familiarity
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional demeanor
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant
