Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ manager to join the team on a permanent basis in Slidell, Louisiana. This is an office role with travel to Louisiana and Texas.
The HSEQ Advisor is responsible for driving Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance. This position is also required to champion and educate others on company Integrated Management System arrangements, and the requirements of regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and communicate effectively HSEQ policies.
- Assist business units and operations teams with plans to implement HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Audit business units to ensure Integrated Management System and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct field visits and site inspections to ensure effective systems are maintained for the identification, assessment and control of risks.
- Assist or lead investigations into incidents, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement and develops preventative and corrective actions.
- Assist business units and operation teams to address questions regarding regulatory compliance.
- Provide HSEQ coaching and mentoring for the site personnel/leadership.
- Participate in project planning and management of change activities to identify to eliminate or control risks.
- Analyze incident, non-conformity, hazard observation and other data to identify trends and opportunities to improve.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Experience in proactive and reactive HSEQ environments.
- Ability to effectively engage with and influence others at various levels to act.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of regulations and resources.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills for all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively implement Integrated Management System arrangements.
- Ability to interface with customers and develop effective working relationships.
- Effective planning and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal OSHA regulations and compliance reporting requirements.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Familiar with HSEQ databases, preferably ISNetworld, Veriforce, and Avetta.
- Experience in leading and delivering HSEQ initiatives, preferably within a Service Company.
- High School Diploma and Certification in HSE (COSS, SMS, OHST) preferred.
Other:
- Some overnight travel will be required for this position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year
