Lead Production Planner

The Lead Production Planner assumes a pivotal role in orchestrating the intricate logistics of materials and components throughout the production process, ensuring seamless coordination between machines, departments, and facilities. This entails overseeing scheduling, tracking, and expediting workflows to maintain production levels and meet delivery expectations. Key responsibilities include managing MRP, capacity, and assembly schedules, facilitating daily production meetings, and coordinating communication with Customer Service to provide timely updates. The ideal candidate possesses advanced computer skills, exceptional analytical abilities, and effective communication skills, with experience in manufacturing scheduling and planning within an ERP system.

Additionally, the Lead Planner is responsible for creating, distributing, and tracking work orders, optimizing inventory levels, resolving shortages, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance material flow efficiency. Serving as a subject matter expert in production control, this role involves refining scheduling systems and processes to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree related field or will consider experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling and planning within an ERP system, preferably with complex assembled products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preferably Access.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various levels and functions within an organization.
