A Concord, NH litigation firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented legal assistant with law firm experience. The successful legal assistant candidate will possess a professional demeanor, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and has the ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in a high-pressure environment while meeting deadlines. Being able to work independently as well as in a team is key. Strong computer skills, MS Word, Outlook, MS Excel, Adobe, scanning and maintaining electronic files is a must.

Legal Assistant Hours: Monday through Friday - 9am to 5pm
The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Assist attorneys with preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, memos, and correspondences
- Proofread legal documents and correspondence for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for attorneys
- Maintain a strong knowledge of individual client procedures and state specific legal processes
- File court motions and legal documents utilizing state specific court filing systems
- Follow-up with firm vendors and local courts regarding specific case statuses
- Analyze data on internal workflow reports to meet client and firm inventory expectations
- Communicate with firm clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and courteously.
- Organize legal documents within firm’s system of record according to the firm’s internal document management process
- Assist with billing and invoicing tasks as needed
- Assist in setup and breakdown of conference rooms when needed
- Provide additional support to other members of the team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Must have excellent communication, oral, written and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all client and firm matters.
- Must be able to understand and adhere to the firm’s policies, procedures and core values
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 37 per week
